- I love how flirty Jasper is while also clearly caring about Maisie
- I appreciate how the mom is the villain in this story. I feel like a lot of times people focus on the dad being the villain and the mom being the quiet one, but in reality, it could easily be either one
- In addition to that ^^^ I like the way Maisie was influenced by her mom to go to church and how she learned to like it. I think there is potential for you to expand on this religious aspect either just in Maisie or in how it affects her relationship with her mother
- One of my favorite parts is pg 5 last para “When I had been younger, I’d always loved snowstorms because even though they were a storm, they brought a lightness to the air and you could see more into the night than normal. In my heart, it made me think of the light you could always find at the end of a storm, which made me hope my mom and I would be able to get past this one.” I feel like this is such a poetic and romanticized way to view things and I think it is beautiful
- I feel like we never quite get to a climax in this story, like there feels to be no clear story line that I can discern. I love the dialogue between Jasper and Maisie, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like there needs to be more
