Morgan Talty is the author of “Night of the Living Rez” in which “Earth, Speak”, a short story, can be found in. Talty is a member of the Penobscot Indian Nation. He lived on Indian Island, which is a part of the Penobscot Indian Nation, from age six to eighteen. His identity as a Penobscot can be seen influencing his work.
